Curbris's Work Halloween Day!

On Wednesday at work, Curbris was having a chili cook off and everybody was suppose to wear there costumes. Halloween is one of Curbris favorite holiday, so he changed his mind a few times on what we wanted to be. He spent more money than I him wanted to and honestly I have no idea exactly what he was planning on being. Well a few days before Wednesday a lady at worked asked him if he would dress up as the Jackson 5 with her and a few other people. He didn't want to say no so he dressed up as a member of the Jackson 5. They even put on a little performance for everyone while they enjoyed chili. Oh and Curbris chili did win first place and yes I helped him make it. Here are a few picture of him and his co-workers.

Halloween Cookies

Last night for Family Home Evening we decorated sugar cookies and were going to crave pumpkins too, but I was too tried. Karma helped me make the dough and frosting, she really has become my little baker. Sadie helped me roll out the dough and cut out the cookies. Once the cookies were ready to bake the girls sat down in front of the oven and watched them bake. They love to watch things bake in the oven. When daddy got home from work we had a small lesson about sharing and than we decorated cookies. I helped Sadie and Curbris helped Karma. It was a fun night.

With less than 9 weeks ago until the baby comes I have really been looking at a lot of recipes that I can make now and freeze. I know when the baby comes the last thing I am going to want to do is cook, so I really need to get myself organized. I have found some great recipe to try I just need to motivate myself one weekend to get things cooked and in the freezer. Once I get all of it done I will post what I cooked and the recipes.

Busy Weekend & Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!

This weekend was one of those weekends where we weren't home much. It was filled with lots of service and Halloween fun. Curbris had signed our family up to go help work on the Mesa Temple grounds. Normally I wouldn't mind, but being almost 8 months pregnant I was less than thrilled to wake up at 6 a.m. and go work on the grounds. I went mainly to support my husband because I really wasn't planning on doing much work. Curbris and Karma did most of the work and I just tried to keep Sadie from getting into everything. After we were done working on the grounds Curbris had also signed us help to go clean the church. This I didn't mind as much because it was just like doing housework. Karma was a big help in the beginning and than she got bored so she went to play with the other kids. It didn't take us to long to get the church cleaned there were lots of people there to help. After we got done with our morning service we went and ate some breakfast. By the time we got home we were all wiped out and took a nap. Later on in afternoon Curbris had a meeting with the missionaries and than went with them to visit a few people. Once he got back we had a baptism to go to. After the baptism we went home a got ready for a Halloween party that we had to go to. Karma was super excited because she got to wear her Snow White Dress and crown her daddy got her. Daddy also got Sadie a Cinderella dress and crown, but she cried every time we put it on her. I think that she is going to be my little tomboy. So we just put her in the super girl costume that Karma wore last year and she loved it. The party was fun and the girls had a great time. Right now they are at an age where everything is scary, so they told us often when they saw something they thought was scary. Of course the batteries in my camera died so I don't have any pictures to post, but we have a few more Halloween events to go to so I will post some pictures soon. Plus Curbris like usually will be going all out so I will post pictures of his costume soon.

Today wasn't as busy as Saturday, but it still felt like we were hardly home. Today was our primary program so I got the pleasure of sitting on the stage. I am really looking forward to next years program because Karma will be in primary. Right after church we had to go to a baby's blessing and than a little lunch in to go to. It is also my dad's birthday, so we headed over to my parents house to spend most of the day with him. It has been a great weekend and we are really looking forward to the Halloween week ahead.

Day at the Park

This week my mom doesn't have to work since there is no school all week, so we took the girls to the park. We were just going to go there to let them feed the ducks, but they had some of the rides open so we rode a few of those.
The girls and grandma feeding the ducks.

Karma loved this horse, Sadie didn't want to ride on a horse so we sat in a seat in front of Karma. Once I got off the ride I noticed a sign that said not recommend for anyone pregnant, oops.

Karma enjoying the carousal.

Karma and Hopies on the Farris Wheel, Sadie starting crying before we even tried to put her on.

Karma and Sadie on the boat ride I was really surprised that Sadie didn't start crying until the end of the ride.

Birthday Boxes

When Karma was turning 1 I wanted to do something special for her birthday so I looked up different things and decided to make a time capsule for her. Well when it came time for the party I forgot about it and so I decided to make her a birthday box. All I did was get a photo box from Micheal's and I saved a few things from the party. Ever since her first birthday I have saved cards, invitations, money, and pictures. I have also done the same thing for Sadie. When they turn 16 I plan on giving them there birthday boxes. I think that it is something that they will enjoy having.

Birthday Weekend

On Saturday we had a birthday party for Hope and Sadie. Sadie's birthday isn't actually until the 18th, but this was the best day for us to do it. We had the birthday party at Peter Piper Pizza and I think everyone had a great time. Sadie got a lot of great gifts and we are thankful to everyone who was able to come.

Sadie opening presents.
She got a 2 dollar bill from Mumphy and Pops.
Than she also got a princess piggy bank from them to put her money in. They also got Karma one so she wont be left out.
Singing Happy Birthday! Sadie is turning 2, but it was easier to put 1 candle on the cupcake.

After the birthday party we had another birthday party to go. Curbris's friend, Pedro, daughter was having a costume party. I totally forgot it was a costume party, so the girls didn't get dressed up. They did have an extra princess dress, so Karma really enjoyed wearing that. It was a fun night they had a jumping balloon and pinata.

Sadie hitting the pinata, she just wanted to hit it once and than she was done.
Karma getting ready to hit the pinata. She did a great job hitting it all by herself.
Karma loved wearing this princess, now I know what to get her for Christmas.
